@Amy - you totally should, it worked wonders for getting my own clarity around it sorted.

This is aweswome James! I've been working on a similar project but I haven't articulated it as clearly as you have. Very inspiring! Maybe I will write my own post...

@chas - I'm loving that idea, it'd be my version of the friday review. And it would possibly answer one of my concerns about feeling a need to 'justify' it and 'stay on track' but not in the usual sense. Rather to remind myself of the value of what I'm doing and keep my focus on my heart.

@Victoria - Thanks for the info about the course. I've googled, watched a video of him speaking (at google!) and I shall probably grab a copy of the book. It looks like he's repackaged old learning in a way that's accessible to Western work-a-holic types. I think this may be another module!

@Joely - well, my moon trials are approx. monthly, but other than that I don't want to set up expectations that I'm then pushing myself to meet. Having a time just to review at a monthly level, as well as a weekly level, certainly wouldn't hurt however.

My plan is to use the moon as my calendar (I have a bit of a moon thing going right now) and have new moons a time for reflection and full moons a time for trying new things. Of course, all of that may fall flat on it's face, I don't know.

Thanks all for your comments, I'm getting quite excited by it all!

What about a monthly plan? Then you can see where you are at the end of each month and move on from wherever that is.

Joely Black’s last blog post..No, I didn’t know you could ask 75% of a question, either

I love this idea because too often, "self development" is poo-pooed as not having any value. But really, if you take it seriously, it's not any different from a degree.

It also reminds me of Are You Ready To Succeed (Srikumar S. Rao), a course on "personal mastery".

What kind of world would we be living in if more of us put significant energy into mastering our Selves?

Best of luck to you in your studies - good for you to be in a position to focus on it. I hope you'll keep us updated!

sounds great, james. do you have any accountability built into it? like a weekly report to your master professor (Universe)? i'd love to be the fly on the wall (maybe;).

looking forward to the reports!
